Married: Carol & Jacob: Mt. Philo & Middlebury, Vermont

After a few very hot days in which the whole of Vermont was melting like a popsicle, a reprieve was granted and just in time for Carol and Jacob's wedding. A good thing since they, along with their closest family and friends, had travelled to Vermont to celebrate their wedding in the hopes that is would be cooler in July than their home state of Texas! Thank you cool front.

As guests walked down the wooded path that led to the open overlook on top of Mt Philo, greeting and hugging one another as they met, family and friends bustled about finishing setting up chairs and getting the music ready. This was the perfect family affair!

And as the bride walked down the aisle to meet her soon-to-be husband, the sun shone bright, the breeze blew lightly and everyone watched with a smile one their face. She was radiant. He was handsome. And they were meant to be together.

Thank you Carol and Jacob for letting us be a part of your day and for welcoming us into your family. We had a great time getting to know everyone as we captured the details and moments that made your wedding perfect! Have a fabulous time traveling around Europe. :) Have a cannoli or two for me if you make it to Italy ;) xo Kaht

As I mentioned, Mt Philo has a beautiful overlook! It would be a perfect spot for a sunset :)

Many sweet faces were at the wedding!

Devin captured this one and I am in *love*. It is just such a sweet image of childhood. :)

The handsome groom, headed to...

...his hiding spot! Jacob hung out behind the bushes until the start of the ceremony.

Time for a wedding!

A radiant bride :)

The way to Carol's heart? Jacob reading in Italian. Beautiful.

With this ring...

Mr. & Mrs.!!

A few photos at the overlook.

Time to send the newlyweds off!

As people headed to The Swift House Inn, Carol, Jacob and I stopped on the side of the road by this really cool old piano. It made an awesome prop. Just look how fabulous Jacob looks!

And Carol, well she makes an old piano look ahhh-mazing.

*love*

Carol and Jacob are cat foster parents. That fact won me over instantly! Over the years, they have had many wonderful kitty's in their lives. This one in particular really lives on in their hearts. Carol worn a locket with a photo of Spooky on her wrist.

Carol's beautiful bouquet was done by Claussen's Florist. It had an antique beauty to it.

The dinner reception was at The Swift House Inn in Middlebury, VT. It is a really sweet inn on a beautiful property!

Otter Creek Bakery made the amazing cake.

Yay!

And a beautiful sunset to finish a wonderful day!

Married: Richard & Alysha, Illinois

When it was raining and gray in Vermont, it was beautiful and sunny in Northern Illinois. The perfect day for a spring wedding! And Devin and I had the pleasure of capturing the day for a wonderful couple whom we have known for some time now. Richard and Alysha met just about two years ago when they were both in the bridal party for Alysha's brother's wedding. It was love at first sight as the story goes and well, the rest is history. And this past Saturday they started the new chapter in their life novel and it was a perfect beginning to what is guaranteed to be a wonderful life together. xo Kaht

The day started at AC Hair Design where the girls were gathered to watch Alysha be transformed into a bride :)

A little practice with the unveiling never hurt!

Richard was very calm and cool as he and the guys got ready at the hotel. Lot's of laughs and joking, even though he looks very serious here... :)

Thank goodness Mom knew how to fold the pocket handkerchief!

The bouquets!

Devin caught this image of Richard being a joker. See, not always so serious :)

One of my favorite moments! When the groom first sees his bride at the back of the church.

And when the bride sees her groom... :)

Practice made perfect!

Another favorite moment when the father gives his daughter to her soon-to-be husband. :)

I really enjoyed when Pastor Davis asked Richard and Alysha to turn around and look at all the people who love and support them. It was so sweet and really touching and really a wonderful thing for the bride and groom to take a second and actually see who is there to love and support them. I had tears in my eyes. :)

Mr. & Mrs.!

What's a Maid of Honor to do when no one can hold her flowers? :)

After having to change portrait locations, we headed to Alysha's former band teacher's home. The gardens were beautiful! It was simply a paradise and the perfect location for portraits. Thank you!!

Alysha, you are simply beautiful!

Mr. Handsome :)

I just love this image as Alysha sees her venue all decorated for the first time!

The theme was France, where Richard proposed.

The Best Man made everyone laugh during his toast!

OH! Look at this good looking couple... :) Our friend Ted took this photo for us to prove we were there too!

And as the night progressed we danced...

And celebrated...

And partied....

And loved.
Thank you Richard and Alysha for a beautiful wedding and for inviting us to be a part of it! xo Kaht (& Devin!) Enjoy more images in the Slideshow.
