Kittens!

12:48am at my parents house, their is a tapping on the bedroom door and a hushed whisper, "Kathleen?...Kathleen. Kittens!" I fly out of bed as if my brother had said, "FIRE!!" and stumble sleepily upstairs to where the rest of my family is gathered around the whelping pen. Tobie, a fluffy gray Manx who adopted my family last November, is laying on a blanket with a single black kitten nuzzling her stomach. Kittens! And more where on the way. :)

Come morning there were 4 adorable kittens snuggled up to Tobie; 3 black males and 1 orange and black female. (One little male has a docked tail that is common to a Manx cat) Having never seen kittens so young, I was in pure amazement at how tiny they are! And so very sweet.

Needless to say, it was a fantastic Easter weekend! I cannot wait to watch these little ones grow! xo Kaht

Snuggling with ma!

"Stubs" is 2nd from the left. See his little tail! Tobie has a docked tail and we were not sure if she would pass that characteristic onto any of her babies.
